Your Attention Please made its World Premiere as a Documentary Spotlight at SXSW in March of 2026, marking a powerful milestone for a film that is already helping shape a national conversation.
The documentary explores how addictive technology is reshaping childhood, family dynamics, and mental health, while following parents, teens, lawmakers, and advocates who are pushing back and choosing a different path. As artificial intelligence and digital platforms continue to influence daily life, Your Attention Please highlights a growing movement focused on accountability, human well-being, and reimagining technology in service of people.
For The Carson J. Bride Effect, this film is deeply personal. It includes Carson’s story and the advocacy work that grew from his life and legacy—work dedicated to protecting children, raising awareness, and advancing meaningful solutions. As Kristin Bride shares, “Your Attention Please tells a story that began with my son, Carson, but extends far beyond our family.”

It’s an interesting blend of docs at SXSW that can often be divided into three categories: quirky tales, pop culture stories, and movies with a message. This dispatch profiles three of the last category: Two character profiles that are also about trans acceptance and a piece about how the digital era is warping evolution.
